We are always looking for ways to make our event more accessible, so this year we are really happy to be able to team up with the Alpkit Foundation to offer a full scholarship place, including travel, for someone who otherwise could not have attended WCS19. Full report later! So what is the Alpkit Foundation all about? Every month 1% of Alpkit sales goes towards supporting projects that enable people to overcome obstacles to go nice places and do good things. Every 1% is different. Support from the Alpkit Foundation takes the form of direct action for people and projects that champion education, participation, environment, diversity and health. Often small awards that help work at removing barriers to getting outdoors and experiencing wild places. It's amazing to see what small steps can do in making something much bigger.
The Alpkit Foundation has now awarded well over £200,000 and supported over 560 incredible projects!
